§Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using the service you (a) confirm that you are at least 16 years old, (b) have the authority to bind the entity on whose behalf you are acting, and (c) agree to be bound by this notice and by every policy referenced in it, including our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

§Permitted use

You may use the service to:

  • Evaluate IPable for bona fide research, business, or engineering purposes.
  • Query the knowledge graph through our MCP server, REST API, or the IPable web platform, subject to your plan's rate limits.
  • Integrate output into internal tools, agent pipelines, or editorial work that cites IPable as the source.

You must not:

  • Reverse engineer, scrape at scale, or attempt to reconstruct the underlying graph outside of your plan's quota.
  • Resell raw IPable output as a standalone product or in a way that substitutes for our service.
  • Use the service to generate or disseminate unlawful, infringing, or harmful content.
  • Circumvent security measures or tamper with telemetry.

§Intellectual property

All source patent data is public record from national and supranational IP offices (USPTO, EPO, WIPO, JPO, etc.), subject to each office's terms. IPable's trademarks, graph schema, ontologies, UI, code, documentation, branding, and compilations are the intellectual property of IPable and its licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the service strictly as permitted above.

§Accounts & access

Certain features require an account or an API key. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under them. Notify us at security@ipable.ai of any unauthorised use.

§Disclaimers

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. IPable's output is not legal advice. Nothing surfaced through the graph should be relied upon for freedom-to-operate, validity, infringement, or patentability determinations without review by qualified counsel.

§Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, IPable, its founders, and its licensors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or business interruption, arising out of or in connection with your use of the service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our aggregate liability under or in connection with the service will not exceed the greater of (a) the fees you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim and (b) EUR 100. Nothing in these terms limits liability for damages that cannot be limited under mandatory German law (e.g. intent or gross negligence, personal injury, or product-liability claims under the ProdHaftG).

§Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless IPable from and against any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your breach of these terms, your misuse of the service, or content you submit through it.

§Changes to the service

We iterate quickly. We may add, remove, or modify features; change pricing with reasonable notice; or deprecate endpoints with a migration window. Material changes to this notice will be posted on this page with a new "Updated" date; continuing to use the service after changes means you accept them.

§Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. The exclusive place of jurisdiction for any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms is Heilbronn, Germany, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rules that apply to you (which may give you the right to sue in the courts of your own residence).
